BOGDAN RARARAMEN RACZYNSKI

(Rephlex)

We are mighty chuffed to host one of the true daddies of drill and bass this night. Bogdan's breakcore recipe has proved most palatable, combining it with luvvly low-bit chiptune influenced sonics, gnarly basslines and some very odd vocals indeed. It's been a while since Bogdan hit London. Why, you ask? Well, he lives in Canada so European shows have been pretty thin on the ground - the odd festival headline slot here and there usually. But we've prised him out of his kitchen - perhaps he was making noodles - for a right royal warehouse rave-up!

MR 76ix

(Skam)

Mr 76ix is a mysterious, legendary character in the world of electronic music. A long-time master of the glitchy rave sound that Skam Records became world famous for in the nineties, his amazing productions remained shielded from the public consciousness until his notorious live set at the Autechre-curated ATP in 2003. His performance was hailed as the highlight of the whole festival by the people in the know. Since then three albums of glorious advanced dancefloor electronics have appeared on Skam, but the Manchester-based don has shunned the limelight in favour of honing his sonic creations yet further, recently adding a crisp, acidic electro sound to his darkwave flavour. This is a RARE chance to see the man, the myth, the legend Mr 76ix in London town premiering his forthcoming Skam album!

BROKEN NOTE

(Ad Noiseam/Ruff/Damage/Prospct)

Raised on a diet of pure filth; Broken Note have dragged their own unique sound kicking and screaming to the electronic music scene. Combining lean, considered production skills with an appreciation of diverse rough beats; they have quickly established themselves as a sonic force to be reckoned with. Their career to date has seen headining sets at festivals such as Glade and Maschinfest, as well as tour dates around the globe; from America to Japan. They never fail to make a heavy impact on the dancefloor, with their signature complex multi-layered distorted audio and ultra heavy sub-bass; they are now real pioneers of a darker, more intense style of Dubstep and Drum and Bass.

RUDI ZYGADLO

(Planet Mu)

Rudi Zygaldlo is a musician like no other. With the sound that can only be described as a fusion – unexpected, exciting and unique, he’s created a type of ‘dubstep rewired’ using influences as wide as Frank Zappa, Eastern European Classical music and contemporary US indie. His upcoming releases sound effortless and completely natural. ‘Resealable Friendship’ single (with remixes by Starkey, Slugabed, Raffertie and Doshy) is out in March on Planet Mu, and the album entitled ‘Great Western Laymen’ is set to follow later on this year. There is a strong ecclesiastical theme which runs throughout the lyrics while Rudi works with a restricted palette of sounds, using no plug-ins, in a wish to squeeze the most out of what he’s go. The results are astounding, and this is the reason why Mr Zygadlo is the name on everyone’s lips for 2010.

VENT

(Colony/Addictech/Hardcore Beats)

Sam Ashwell (Abstrakt Knights) and Dan Havers (DC Breaks) formed in 2007 with the premise of fusing styles, genres and tempos with one common feature - basslines. Having stormed onto the breaks scene with nominations at Breakspoll and releases on UK labels Hardcore Beats & Colony Productions, VENT are now impressing their ideas of mashing tempos on their series 'Deviant Creatures' featuring breaks, dubstep and 100bpm party mayhem.

Their championing of bassline music will also be taking them to Australia, New Zealand and America towards the end of the year. Deviant Creatures Pt. 2 has just been released, and VENT have previously worked with Si Begg, Cursor Miner, Crunch (Tipper), Deekline & Wizard, CTRL Z & Stereo:Type, and have further projects in the pipeline with Reso, Pyramid, DC Breaks, Epcot, Ill Spoken, Foreign Beggars, Eskmo, Profisee, Opiuo, Afghan Headspin and many more...

WARLOCK

(Rag and Bone)

A DJ and producer refusing to be sucked into any one genre, a typical Warlock set is a new experience every time. A spontaneous mash up of all things dark and bass heavy but above all, big tunes. Expect anything from the contemporary flavas of dubstep, mutant bassline, fidget, funky and tropical, and of course the odd old skool rarity.

Warlock, together with Noyeahno, runs the uncompromising Rag & Bone label which aside from their own releases has seen cult material being unleashed by such luminaries as Drop The Lime, King Cannibal, Kanji Kinetic, Aaron Spectre, Starkey, Excision and Stagga. Cutting his teeth at the likes of Helter Skelter, Labrynth and Spiral Tribe, he has recently been gracing the decks at Glade, Fabric, Bloc, Plex, Yardcore, Toxic Dancehall, Coin Operated, Uglyfunk, Wang and Z-Shed to name but a few. As well as playing around Europe, he has also been rocking clubs from Tokyo to Kiev.

ZAN LYONS Vs. BLADERUNNER

(Foundry)

One of the most distinctive performers in the Audio Visual scene, his sets have received wide critical acclaim across the globe. A Cannes nominated film-maker with his short film 'Girl Seeming to Disappear'; Zan combines his exceptional visual talents with his skills with the violin, his voice and his wizardry in Ableton. Physically playing his violin live and building up dense layers of sound that well up in intensity whilst manipulating his film to produce an exquisite experience that is both delicate and brutal. Zan has been reworking his re-edited pieces from Bladerunner, a film that resonates deeply with his film noir style, and will be performing this for your pleasure at our party.

POINT B

(Combat, Frisjo, scsi-av)

Point B has been a prolific evolving force in underground 2 Step, Dubstep and Hip-Hop; at times sludgey and wonky, and at other times bouncing the dancefloor with his impulsively danceable tracks. His diversity is immense, and his recent album 'Suicide Beauty Spot' on Combat recordings is a reflection of this; fusing together nostalgic sounds in the vein of Boards of Canada with the 2 Step vibes of Burial; veering between the sublime and mellow and the aggressively danceable.

MONSTER X

(Tigerbeat 6, Mutant Sniper)

A love story between one man and his 303, Monster X is the master of mentasms; warping ears and minds with his wonked out mash-up tunes. A 'Reaktor' maestro; he spends nearly all of his time in his sonic factory, concocting the most twisted audio in the realms of imagination and using rave victims as his test subjects. Tear out beats ranging in speed from Techno to Breakcore, expect to be tested to your limits on his spazzed out rollercoaster of insanely good music.

(Smoking Sessions)

One of the 4 members of Yardcore, who has been tearing up dancefloors in London for some time now. If you have seen one of Dj Rum's sets, or perhaps heard him on Sub fm's Yardcore radio show; you will be familiar with his style of ripping apart tunes either on the decks with his deep turntablism skills, or on with Ableton. With forthcoming releases set for the awesome Smoking Sessions label (a home to the likes of Sykro and Reso) in combination with his unforgettable Dj skills, DJ Rum is set for big things this year.
